At Way Out West Moot, Expeditions are where the journey truly begins. For four unforgettable days, you’ll venture beyond the main campsite to explore some of the most iconic, remote, and breathtaking corners of Western Australia. Whether you’re hiking through ancient gorges, diving into marine sanctuaries, tackling off-road adventures, or immersing yourself in cultural experiences — there’s an expedition to challenge you, inspire you, and expand your world.
Expeditions are extended off-site experiences that form the heart of your Moot journey. Running in the first half of the event, you’ll head out with a Unit of fellow Rover Scouts to explore a unique part of WA, engage with local communities, and push your limits. It’s about skill-building, adventure, connection, and making memories that last long after Moot ends.
