Description
This expedition starts where the bitumen ends.
Off the Map is a hands-on four-wheel-driving journey through the South West, built around learning how to travel well in off-road environments. You’ll move through bush tracks, beaches, and river crossings, building practical skills as you go and gaining confidence behind the wheel in conditions that demand attention and teamwork.
Days are active and grounded. You’ll learn how to read terrain, manage vehicles safely, and make decisions as a group about routes, conditions, and pace. It’s not about speed or shortcuts, it’s about capability, responsibility, and getting everyone through together.
Along the way, you’ll explore parts of the South West that don’t show up on the main roads, camping out, problem-solving in real time, and settling into the rhythm of life off the map. Skills gained on this expedition may contribute toward SAIT recognition, but the real takeaway is knowing you can handle yourself when the road runs out.
Off the Map suits Rovers who enjoy practical learning, shared responsibility, and the satisfaction of earning every kilometer.
