Platinum Offsite activities
Platinum activities use 6 of your 9 Offsite Program points and include an additional participant cost.
These activities sit outside what can be fully covered within the standard Offsite Program allocation, so there is an additional fee if you choose one. They still use 6 points, leaving 3 points available for another Offsite selection.
The additional cost is what separates Platinum from the other rankings, rather than it being a measure of quality or excitement. As with Gold, a Platinum activity can pair neatly with a Bronze activity to use your full 9-point allocation.
Wadjemup Rottnest Day Tour
Head across to Wadjemup / Rottnest Island for a day that combines giving something back with plenty of time to explore.
You’ll start by contributing at least three hours of community service on the island. After that, the rest of the day opens up for you to experience Wadjemup in your own way.
Hire a bike, find somewhere for a swim or snorkel, explore the beaches and bays, grab some lunch, learn a little more about the island, or keep an eye out for a quokka or two.
Do a little good first, then make the most of the rest of your island day.
EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY:
As part of this activity, you’ll spend a minimum of three hours taking part in community service on Wadjemup before having time to explore the island.
Additional Participant Cost:
Our Platinum Offsite Activities give you the chance to take part in some of WA’s standout experiences, including activities that sit beyond what is included in the standard Offsite Program allocation.
Rather than building that extra cost into everyone’s Moot fee, it only applies if you choose to take part in that activity. That means we can include these experiences in the program while keeping them optional for everyone.
The additional cost for Wadjemup Rottnest Day Tour is $60.
AQWA Shark Snorkel
Take your AQWA experience one step further and get into the water.
You’ll join a guided snorkel inside AQWA’s Shipwreck Coast aquarium, sharing the water with sharks, rays, fish, and other marine life while being guided by an experienced Divemaster.
This isn’t an introductory snorkelling lesson, so you’ll need to already be a confident swimmer and comfortable using a mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit. If you’re happy in the water and keen to get considerably closer to some of WA’s marine life, this is your chance.
EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY:
- You must be a confident swimmer and able to use a mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit independently. This experience does not include instruction on how to snorkel.
- You should be comfortable swimming in snorkelling equipment for at least 30 minutes and able to manage stairs independently.
- You’ll need to bring your own bathers and towel. Snorkelling equipment is provided, although you may use your own.
- This activity is not suitable if you have epilepsy, asthma, or a heart condition.
- You must follow the Divemaster’s directions throughout the snorkel, and duck-diving is not permitted.

Matagarup Bridge Climb
See Perth from the top of one of its most recognisable landmarks.
You’ll climb your way up Matagarup Bridge to the SkyView platform, 72 metres above the Swan River, with views stretching across the river, the city, and Optus Stadium.
Then, instead of walking back down, you’ll clip into the zipline and take the much quicker route back towards the ground.
It’s part climb, part view, and part adrenaline hit, all wrapped into one very Perth experience.
EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY:
- Be between 30 kg and 120 kg.
- Be between 122 cm and 220 cm tall.

Swan Valley Gourmet Tour
Spend the day tasting your way around the Swan Valley, Western Australia’s oldest wine region.
You’ll visit a selection of venues around the Valley, sample local food and drink, and discover some of the producers that have made the area one of Perth’s best-known food and wine destinations.
You don’t need to know your Shiraz from your Sauvignon Blanc before you arrive. Just come ready to try a few things, enjoy the Valley, and maybe discover a new favourite along the way.

Optus Stadium Vertigo Tour
Head onto the roof of Optus Stadium and then take things one step further.
After making your way onto the rooftop, you’ll harness up and move out onto the Vertigo platform, which extends beyond the edge of the stadium roof around 42 metres above the ground.
There are no handrails around the platform, so while you’ll be safely secured throughout the experience, there’s nothing hiding the view straight down.
It’s Perth from above, with just a little more exposure than your average sightseeing tour.

To take part in Vertigo, you must:
- Be at least 1.2 metres tall.
- Weigh between 40 kg and 134 kg.

Perth City Overnighter
Swap the main Moot site for a night beside the river at Pelican Point.
You’ll use Pelican Point Sea Scout Group as your overnight base before heading into Perth for the evening. Grab some dinner, explore the city, check out the nightlife, or simply see where the night takes you before returning to the hall to sleep.
Then you’ll wake up beside the Swan River before heading back to Moot.
You’ll need to bring your own sleeping gear, but you can leave the tent behind for this one.
EXTRA INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY:
You’ll sleep inside the hall at Pelican Point Sea Scout Group, so you won’t need to bring a tent. You will, however, need to bring your own sleeping gear for the night.
